Alex Fouquet
COMPOSER / PRODUCER / ENGINEER
Canadian composer Alex Fouquet makes his living playing, recording and most of all composing music. His passion for music, film, and new media have led him to compose numerous cinematic scores for major companies as well as independent film makers and producers. With his dramatic and expressive touch, Alex creates and mixes his special and unique blend of orchestral, ethnic, electronic, and modern music that perfectly combines to add emotion to any image.
Alex’s unique scores are currently used by clients in Canada, Japan, the USA, China, Spain, and Belgium, just to name a few. Whether for a documentary, a horror movie, or a video game, or even music library work, Alex’s passion for music and constant professionalism are always reflected in his compositions.
While living in Japan, he worked for the GROOVE STUDIO in Osaka. He had the chance to compose, under the studio label, all the tracks on an instrumental CD for use in motion pictures, television, radio, audio/visual, and multimedia productions. The CD has been released in 50 countries and is distributed by BMG ZOMBA in Asia. Alex is also well known for his work at GRATIS MUSIC, for which he has composed over 100 original tracks that can be found on 16 different CDs in the Gratis Music library. Alex also composed original scores for TV shows such as Les grands reportages at RDI-Radio Canada, and Belgium’s famous soap SPRING, from Studio 100.
Starting his musical career performing as a live musician, Alex has toured as a bass player for major productions in Canada, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the USA, with a variety of artists and companies such as Cirque du Soleil’s Cheval-Théâtre. The group has been recognized as one of the world’s top live circus acts and Alex took part in over 450 performances in major cities including Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, Nashville, and San Jose. Alex’s brilliant bass playing can be heard on the official Cheval-Théâtre CD album.
Now focusing on creating great scores that aim to show a wide spectrum of emotions, Alex’s motto remains the same: there is no greater feeling than the one you get when you finish a project and both the producer and composer are proud of what they have accomplished together. Only passion and devotion to your art and a professional attitude can make that happen.

Awesome stuff man! :)
Well written and composed... not to mention original and interesting to listen to.
You're making me rethink a lot of the stuff I've been doing lately so I can push the boundaries a little more.
Hey thanks! Don't I know you from The Composer Collective?? :)
Thanks for the listen, mate! Cheers!
